Come One, Come All
to the
Majestic Underworld of Hades
Hades, named after the god that ruled over it, is the Underworld, also known as the Land of the Dead. After one died, they would be brought to the banks of River Styx by Hermes. If one of their family members were kind enough to leave a coin with them, that would be their payment for Charon, who will ferried them across the River Styx. Once you reach the other side of the river, you will see Cerberus, Hades' "pet", who is the gatekeeper of the Underworld to make sure that no one leave Hades. Once that individual passed the Cerberus they will drink the water of the river, Lithe, and that person will forget everything. Then they will go to the Plain of Judgement, where that person will be judged, and they would either go to the Field of Punishments (also known as Tartarus), Field of the Blest (Elysium), or reincarnated. Those who were born and reborn again will finally go to rest at the Field of the Blest, Elysium. (Somewhere along the trip on Charon's boat, you will pass a place called Erebos)
